For December, the Scrabble Club enjoyed the Christmas spirit one week earlier than normal.
NOEL was the key word for this month's play. The player that laid the first word with an N in it, won a prize; the second with an O in it, then using an E and lastly the L. A bonus prize went to Di who laid the word NOEL right at the beginning.
Four brave members then tried their hand at playing "Super Scrabble". This is a very different game to the normal board with more tiles, more double words, triple words and even quadruple squares. Phil had the highest score for that game.
Meanwhile Christine showed three other players a game using scrabble cards - altogether different and really requiring a much bigger table. Russ won through on this foursome. In the draw Russ triumphed and won himself a bottle of wine.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday 30 January starting at 3.30pm at Cafe Almoradi- opposite the health centre.
If you would like to join us, and meet like minded people, please do.
