This year, the Stage Diary now in its 11th year of publication. Not only is it an important guide to what's on in all regions, but is also an on-line web introduction to potential expat’s researching community life in Spain. The diary also acts as a planning guide to assist groups avoid unnecessary clashes of production dates.

Careline Theatre: Following their hugely successful production of ´Robin Hood – The Panto´ Careline will be performing the much-loved comedy ´Are You Being Served´ next May in their Alcalali theatre. Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir: Following their very successful Christmas season, the choir will be rehearsing every Tuesday evening at 5.45pm in Bar Mediterráneo, Teulada, ready for a new programme of concerts in the spring. Jávea Players: Tone up your vocal chords for fun or for their next musical. First Singalong in the Studio, 9 February at 8pm. Then´Silver Lining´ a hilarious play written by Sandi Toksvig, will run from 17-21 April in Gata, 8pm. Five elderly women stranded on the top floor of a nursing home during a flood keep you entertained with their stories, wit and enterprise. Booking: Tickets 12€.

Phoenix Dancers: The dancers started off the New Year well, with a very successful first rehearsal where they welcomed new dancers. The Company look forward to a great 2018. Please watch this space for the dates of their charity shows in March and April. Remember they rehearse every Saturday afternoon in Calpe. Rascals: Their Christmas programme raised money for the children's homes and D.E.B.R.A. (Butterfly Children) mattress Appeal. They also sang for Age Concern, Reach Out Christmas lunches, a party for the students of A.L.P.E, residents of the Rojales home and for Tasha's appeal. Sounds Familiar: Sounds Familiar's next production, a concert version of ´The Pirates of Penzance´, is well underway and will be performed this March. The concert includes the dialogue from the show as well as updated music, although the songs themselves have not been changed. For more information please contact Philip on 96 558 1483.
Stagestruck: The theatre group have donated 3.000€ to the Torrevieja Alzheimer's charity. Although no Christmas show was produced, the money has been raised via review nights and murder mystery evenings that were well attended. Rehearsals are starting again for their Summer show. Velvetones Harmony Choir: The Velvetones commenced rehearsals on the 10th of January with a good turnout of around 20 ladies. Anyone who wants to give singing a try should pop along to their rehearsals on any Wednesday morning from 10am 12.30pm at El Paraiso Restaurant Torrevieja. For further details check out their website
