The Stage Diary, now in its 11th year of publication, is not only an important guide to what’s on in all regions, but is also an on-line web introduction to potential expats researching community life in Spain. The diary also acts as a planning guide to assist groups avoid unnecessary clashes of production dates.

Caprice: After their successful concert in Moraira, Caprice ladies choir are now turning their attention to 'Summertime', their next concert in June in support of the Costa Blanca Anglican Chaplaincy. Any ladies who love singing in harmony are welcome to join this friendly group who rehearse on Wednesday evenings in Calpe. Phoenix Dancers: Next show in May, but they are also preparing for 'Moors and Christians' parade. New members are needed especially for the parade. Rehearsals are usually on a Saturday afternoons in Calpe, but additional rehearsals are occasionally called nearer to the date of the event.

New Cardinal Theatre Group: We continue rehearsing for our variety show, ‘It's Show Time’ at 7.30pm on the 19, 20 and 21 September at the Cardinal Theatre, San Fulgencio. Tickets 7€ each will be available soon. All sales will be donated to local charities. More information next month.
Rascals: Their Christmas programme raised money for the children's homes and D.E.B.R.A. (Butterfly Children) mattress Appeal. They also sang for, Age Concern, Reach Out Christmas lunches, a party for the students of A.L.P.E, residents of the Rojales home and for Tasha's appeal. Rojales Pantomime Group: The group will be holding their AGM on 6 April at The Cultural centre Quesada at 6.30pm. A decision will then be made to which charities will benefit from the proceeds of their last pantomime ‘Ali Baba’, the generous sum of 3,000€. Stagestruck: The group are currently rehearsing their brand-new comedy show ‘A Jack to a King’. Set in London’s East End in the sixties, the setting is in a rundown pub were there are plenty of locals with a dodgy past or curious way of life. Performance will be 17, 18 and 19 May. Tickets 8€. Velvetones Harmony Choir: This fun ladies harmony chorus, now meet up at the new time on Thursdays, 5.15pm to 7.45pm every week at El Paraiso behind Carrefour Torrevieja.
