Cantãmus: The choir is looking for new members, in all voice groups, to join them. The choir sings a selection of spiritual or uplifting songs. Members are provided with all the music and tracks to learn to, so you can practice at home between rehearsals. Now would be a great time to contact Philip on 638 734 285 and he will be happy to give you all the details about the choir. They rehearse on a Monday morning 10:45 to 13:00 and will be happy to welcome you.
Canto Mundial are a truly international choir, based in Alfaz del Pí, with members from several different nations. The group sings a wide range of music from Classical to Musical Theatre in multiple languages. All rehearsals are conducted in English. Careline Theatre: What fun we had! Thank you to our audience for coming to our latest production in our new venue in Benidoleig. The auditorium is modern and comfortable. It is ramped from the entrance to seating making it easy for people to access the theatre. Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir: Please join us for our well known and hugely popular SUMMER CONCERT IN THE CAVES of Benidoleig on 13-14 June. As usual all proceeds are destined for the several Charities we support. We are very busy with our 30 choir members rehearsing the songs to perfection. Our musical director John Oliver Edwards uses his inspiring leadership skills to guarantee the performance will be of a very high level. Jávea Players: Murder in Little Grimley: Tapas dinner in the old town, followed by much laughter – remember last year’s “Sex sells tickets”? The hapless amateur quartet are at it again. Egotistical Chairman Gordon, writes a whodunnit, but finds himself dealing with a real life murder! Can enthusiasm, override a lack of talent? Can they get away with murder?? 30th June-5th July. Join the Phoenix dancers in collaboration with Marcia´s Dance Centre as they set sail on the “Shimmering Seas” for a charity song and dance event held at the AR Diamante Beach Hotel in Calpe on Sunday June, 22nd. TheatreSong Collective are the only choir on the Costa Blanca dedicated to musical theatre. They also include solos, duets and small group numbers in their concerts. The Vall del Pop Singers are currently inviting new singers to join them on Tuesday afternoons in Alcalalí. There is no requirement to read music and the group sing a selection of popular songs. ACTS: latest production ‘Old Actor’s Never die… they simply lose the plot’, was a resounding success. The audience feed back was overwhelmingly good. Our patrons were impressed with the acting set sound and presentation, all down to the dedicated team we have. It is heartwarming to know our audiences laughed and tittered their way through this hilarious comedy. We will be donating monies to local charities once figures are finalised. This will be reported next time.
Andante International Choir is the only choir in the Costa Blanca community devoted to sacred choral works and classical pieces. They meet in Los Montesinos at Calle San Antonio, 4 on Thursday nights from 7.15pm until 9pm. All are welcome to join them. They especially need tenors and basses. May was a busy month for The Costa Blanca Singers as they performed at fiestas and fund-raising events to ever growing audiences. Their spring sets were rolled out and had people singing along and dancing. Funds were once again raised for local charities and there are many more performances booked in. Once again CBS were invited to perform at the San Fulgencio La Marina International Fiesta and the El Raso Fiesta. Saturday 5th July is the next public performance at the Campo Auditorium in El Raso having fun and raising awareness and funds for the Ukrainian humanitarian funds. Crescendo International Choir: Do you like to sing? Every Monday evening Crescendo International Choir rehearses and we welcome new members. No previous experience required. Melody Makers Singing Group Quesada is an international, mixed singing group who sing a variety of music genres, from the 60s to modern day with performances throughout the year raising money for local charities. We rehearse every Tuesday 2-4pm, you will be made very welcome, there’s no audition and your first week is free, so what have you to lose? We look forward to seeing you soon. The Rojales Pantomime Group concluded their donations from the 2024 Pantomime, Dick Whittington, with a final donation to Rojales Caritas by Alison Clough and John Fagg. The amount of €1500 was gratefully received by Mr. Antonio Pérez García – Mayor – President of the Rojales City Council, Mr. José María Galant Valero – Parish Priest of the San Pedro Apostol Church in Rojales and Ms. María Dolores Nuñez Paredes – President of Cáritas Rojales. Rehearsals are now underway for Red Riding Hood and great excitement exudes as costumes are designed and made and the cast embrace their characters. The Stagestruck Players are a Murder Mystery Group who perform comedy scripts in local bars in and around Ciudad Quesada. The script is changed each month to accommodate our regular followers and we perform twice monthly. We support the Debra Charity shop for the Butterfly Children and the Torrevieja Alzheimer’s Association. If you are looking for something to do that’s fun and different, email Leigh at

Studio32 would like to say a huge thank you to those of you who went along to see Sister Act. It was a tremendous experience for everyone involved. The months of preparations paid off and the show was amazing. It is often said that many of the actors involved could be on stage in the West End. They certainly proved this in their fabulous performances. The cast and crew are taking a well-deserved break now in preparation for the next mammoth production which will be 9to5. The licence has already been purchased and the show will be advertised here and on the website
www.studiothirtytwo.org. Studio32 are already looking forward to entertaining you again. Watch this space.
