Cantamus: The choir is looking for new members, in all voice groups, to join them. The choir sings a selection of inspirational or uplifting songs. Members are provided with all the music and tracks to learn to, so you can practice at home between rehearsals. Now would be a great time to contact Philip on 638 734 285 and he will be happy to give you all the details about the choir. They rehearse on a Monday morning 10:45 to 13:00 and will be happy to welcome you.
Canto Mundial are a truly international choir, based in Alfaz del Pí, with members from several different nations. The group sings a wide range of music from Classical to Musical Theatre in multiple languages. All rehearsals are conducted in English. Caprice ladies choir are looking forward to presenting two performances of ‘Musical Reflections’ later this month – Wednesday 24th September at the Centro Social (Agencia de lectura municipal), Jalon at 7pm, and Saturday 27th September at La Merced church, Calpe at 5pm. Careline Theatre presents “THE END OF THE PIER SHOW” at the Benidoleig Auditorium on the 17th, 18th October at 8pm and the 19th at 3pm. Not exactly on the pier but at the lovely Benidoleig Village auditorium! With Comedy sketches, song and dance, a show full of entertainment for everyone. Jávea Players: First performed in Princeton, New Jersey, in January 1938, Our Town remains as relevant now as it was then. Thornton Wilder cleverly has us following two average families through normal things: young love, marriage and death. Fellow playwright, Edward Albee, declared it to be “the greatest American play ever written”. Come and see if you agree: 29th October to 1st November.

TheatreSong Collective are the only choir on the Costa Blanca dedicated to musical theatre. They also include solos, duets and small group numbers in their concerts. The Vall del Pop Singers are currently inviting new singers to join them on Tuesday afternoons in Alcalalí. There is no requirement to read music and the group sing a selection of popular songs. After a sweltering summer, ACTS community theatre are looking to surprise our audience with someTHING different for the autumn. Notice the word ‘THING’ and focus on a night out that may intrigue and capture more than your imagination. You can be part of this ‘wicked ‘ event, eat, drink come under the spell! Andante International Choir is the only choir in the Costa Blanca community devoted to sacred choral works and classical pieces. They meet in Los Montesinos at Calle San Antonio, 4 on Thursday nights from 7.15pm until 9pm. All are welcome to join them. They especially need tenors and basses. Costa Blanca Singers: Hooray. September has arrived and our fabulous music director Martin Scattergood is at the helm and new songs are already planned. We perform to raise money for many local charitable groups and you are welcome to join us, although, performing in public is not mandatory. We always welcome new members. We also socialise outside of our singing rehearsals and this is an excellent means to meeting new people. Crescendo International Choir: Do you like to sing? Every Monday evening Crescendo International Choir rehearses and we welcome new members. No previous experience required. Melody Makers Singing Group Quesada is an international, mixed singing group who sing a variety of music genres, from the 60s to modern day. We give lots of performances throughout the year and raise lots of money for local charities along the way. Rojales Pantomime Group: This summer was definitely not for relaxing. Time is of the essence, so our new Director, Julia Parker, and scriptwriter, Alison Clough, worked tirelessly to get the production back on schedule. Red Riding Hood & The Three Little Pigs promises to be colourful, vibrant, comedic and enthusiastically performed by a talented cast who will encourage audience participation in the many familiar songs. Studio32 are continuing in the planning stage for our next musical theatre production which will be 9to5. Although not due on stage at Cardinal Beluga until May, there is always much to do in preparation for our stage productions and performances. We have a lot to live up to following the huge success of Sister Act. Soon, we will be running workshops led by our musical director Nicole Casey and director Mark Feakins. These will focus on voice coaching from Nicole and acting and stage presence development with Mark. These workshops are available to our current cast members primarily and will be opened up to include those interested in joining the cast of 9to5. Auditions will commence in January.
