Unity in diversity- an exciting art exhibition planned by women artists of the Marina Alta

After two weeks in March of exciting and rewarding events across the three Marina Alta towns of Benitachell, Jávea and Teulada Moraira for the International Women’s Day and working in close cooperation with all the other women’s organisations and councillors at the town halls, the European Union of Women Marina Alta (EUWMA) is plotting yet again! There are plans for their third Art Exhibition to be held in May. With the title Unity in Diversity: highlighting the power of solidarity across cultures, generations and communities the exhibition is planned for La Senieta 15 to 30 May 2025. It will feature women artists from the Marina Alta and will start with a party as Voces de Gaia have been invited to perform! Further details from Emma Lawton 648 052 911 or

EUWMA is one of the fastest growing women’s groups in the area and welcomes women from all backgrounds to its discussions and events. President Margaret Hales encourages participation. ‘We are a group which raises issues about women in our part of Spain. Through cooperation and friendship we are helping to create a network of women who care. We care that we still struggle for parity in the job market and we care that 50 women’s lives a year (in Spain) are needlessly lost through gender violence. Together we can make our voices heard above the chatter of other issues. Together we can make progress. Join us in that journey.’
