Cantamus: The choir is looking for new members, in all voice groups, to join them. The choir sings a selection of spiritual or uplifting songs. Members are provided with all the music and tracks to learn to, so you can practice at home between rehearsals. Now would be a great time to contact Philip on 638 734 285 and he will be happy to give you all the details about the choir. They rehearse on a Monday morning 10:45 to 13:00 and will be happy to welcome you.

Canto Mundial are a truly international choir, based in Alfaz del Pí, with members from several different nations. The group sings a wide range of music from Classical to Musical Theatre in multiple languages. All rehearsals are conducted in English. Caprice: After a successful year in 2024, performing and raising money for charity, Caprice ladies choir are busy working on a new programme of songs for their next concerts which will take place later in the year. Careline Theatre: We are bringing back to the stage in May the hilarious comedy play “Dirty Dusting”. A Sex Chat Line that really Cleans Up!!! When 3 cleaners decide to talk dirty and a hoover blows instead of sucks anything can happen. Join us for a laugh out loud, feel good evening on 23rd, 24th May at 8pm and 25th May at 3pm at Benidoleig Auditorium. Tickets 14.50€. Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir: Currently we are rehearsing for our famous Cave Concert on 13-14 June. In the meantime some choir members have also been taking part in other singing activities like our Shanty group and the celebration of the “Bellezas” at the Hogueras Fiestas in Alicante. The Spanish community really appreciated us taking part and singing hymns in the Valencian language. Jávea Players: Don’t miss the enchanted story of a beast and a princess. It takes the love of the latter to overturn a spell on the former, who then reverts to a handsome prince. The Phoenix Dancers are in full swing with their Spring events. At the end of March they were asked to perform for the Convivencia de las Cofradias de Calpe in Calpe Old town which was a great success. They now continue to work on exciting new routines and are looking forward to performing in their upcoming summer show to be held later in the year in Calpe. TheatreSong Collective are a choir singing all musical theatre songs. They also include solos, duets and small group numbers in their concerts. They are looking for new members, so if you want to join the choir, please contact Philip on 96 558 1483 or email philip@philipashley.com.

The Vall del Pop Singers are currently inviting new singers to join them on Tuesday afternoons in Alcalalí. There is no requirement to read music and the group sing a selection of popular songs. ACTS: Our talented group of amateurs are enthusiastically rehearsing “Old Actors Never Die … they simply lose plot“, a farce that will keep you laughing and entertained. Retired actors and a frisky leading man embroiled with the mother of a Mafia boss. Not too pleased with this philandering, kidnap, threats and hilarious situations prevail. Tickets are now available for performances at San Fulgencio theatre on 8 / 9 & 10th May. Andante International Choir is the only choir in the Costa Blanca community devoted to sacred choral works and classical pieces. They meet in Los Montesinos at Calle San Antonio, 4 on Thursday nights from 7.15pm until 9pm. All are welcome to join them. They especially need tenors and basses. The Costa Blanca Singers are delighted to announce the roll out of spring performances which kick start on Easter Day Sunday 20th April at The Bar Guadamar Park. There will be lots of fun throughout the afternoon, including The Costa Blanca Singers performing from 4pm. There will also be some fabulous solo parts from amazing members. There are also some surprises in the new set and you will be dancing and singing along from the offset. Crescendo International Choir: Do you like to sing? Every Monday evening Crescendo International Choir rehearses and we welcome new members. No previous experience required. Melody Makers Singing Group Quesada is an international, mixed singing group who sing a variety of music genres, from the 60s to modern day. We give lots of performances throughout the year and raise lots of money for local charities along the way. If you like to sing, want to have lots of fun doing it, make new friends and help good causes too, then why not come along to Lakeview Bar and Restaurant, 16 Calle Toledo, Quesada, 03170. We rehearse every Tuesday 2-4pm, you will be made very welcome, there’s no audition and your first week is free, so what have you to lose? We look forward to seeing you soon. Rojales Pantomime group: The Group’s AGM was held on Monday 10th March and the 2025 pantomime was announced. It is RED RIDING HOOD AND THE 3 LITTLE PIGS. Our director for 2025 is – Andrew Kirkwood, who has many years of experience on the stage and will do a great job. If you are interested in taking part in this year’s panto, get in touch. We also need a whole host of people to help – backstage, front of house, costumes, scenery, props and painting. etc. If you would like to help out, you would be most welcome to join our merry band. The Stagestruck Players are a Murder Mystery Group who perform in local bars to raise money for our chosen charity, the Torrevieja Alzheimer’s Association. The comedy scripts are all original and written by Leigh Humphries, the group’s director. We change the script every month to accommodate our regular followers. After the Murder, the audience are encouraged, with guidance by either Inspector Clouseau or Detective Inspector Vera Stanhope to solve the crime. We at Studio32 would like to say thank you to everyone who has already supported us by buying tickets to Sister Act. Our forecast that this show would be in high demand, led us to the early decision to provide an additional performance. The Saturday matiné is a first for Studio32 and ticket sales are proving this to have been an excellent addition. At time of writing there are still some tickets available online and at some of the outlets for some performances. We look forward to entertaining you as this Broadway and West End show comes to San Fulgencio. All details are available on our Facebook page. See you all next month at Cardinal Belluga Theatre.
