2026 has seen the start of celebrations to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of U3A Marina Baixa and it’s thanks to the members that this milestone is possible to be achieved. Back in October 1996 a small group of people decided to set up a new branch of U3A for expats living in the Marina Baixa area, with the help of Calpe U3A who had already established themselves north of Benidorm. Membership is aimed at English speaking people who are no longer in full-time employment to provide an opportunity to make new friends and continue with life-long learning through a range of group activities and events.
U3A Marina Baixa’s members come from a wide area stretching from Villajoyosa to Altea and inland to Polop and Callosa. People from different walks of life and different cultures enjoy the benefits of being a member of this established Association. A whole programme of activities, events and trips are planned for the coming year.

If you would like to become a member their next meeting is on Monday 23 February at 11am in the Auditorium of the Casa de Culture, Alfaz del Pi. Membership costs just 10 euros for the year and provides access to all the groups and trips.
