February is the month of love and I hope you all get to celebrate it with someone special. I will probably be celebrating it with the grandchildren as somehow, darling daughter thinks us oldies aren't romantic anymore so they can go out and celebrate whilst we stay in baby sitting.

It is also carnival time throughout Spain so look out for what is going on in your area - this fun event is great for the whole family. Get dressed up and join in, or just go along and enjoy the atmosphere.
What a lovely winter we have had, but now the weather has turned and the thermals are back out again. I do love curling up in front of the fire but the feeling soon wears off. At least we know it is not going to be too long before the temperatures rise again.
Since we got our new rescue mutt I am out and about much earlier than before and have been enjoying some beautiful sunrise (and sunset) moments with deep orange and pinks that look like paintings. Mother nature really is amazing.
Until next time, take care and be kind. Lesley

We have recently had my brother in law with his young son over to stay which meant that we had to get our home child friendly for their visit. This also resulted in finally getting our bathroom finished in time for their arrival so I am looking forward to any other visitors coming to stay, as this seems to be the only way things get done in our household.

The month of love is already upon us with many venues up and down the coast serving special menus for the celebration. Spoil your loved one and book early so you don't end up being disappointed and in the doghouse.
February also sees Carnival in Spain and many towns go all out with the festivities with parades for all the family to enjoy. Check with your local town hall for events to be held near you.
We've been fairly lucky with the weather so far this winter however February and March do seem to be the months that take a turn for the worst with high winds and rain. There is always a silver lining though because on the other side of this comes springtime.
Until next time.... Michelle.
