This month craft association Amata organizes two weekend markets in the province of Alicante, while their summer fair in the port of Jávea is in full swing until 4 September. In all three fairs only work made by the stall holder is sold and each stall offers something different.
The first weekend fair is in San Fulgencio, in the La Marina urbanization, where thousands of people live or spend their summer holidays. That's in the evenings of 5, 6 and 7 August and it promises to be a lively market, with live Jazz and lots of swing, and all participants dress up in 1920s style. The fair is aimed at public of all ages, with lots of activities for kids, workshops and craft demonstrations.
Two weeks later they are holding an arts and crafts fair in Hondón de las Nieves; this will be for the seventh time. Two jugglers will entertain the public, there are workshops for children and on Saturday at midnight there is the famous correfocs, a parade with lots of fireworks and noise, that attracts people from all over the area.
