Bookings are currently being taken for the programme of events arranged for the Coronation weekend in May: a Quiz featuring questions on the years of the new King's lifetime on 5th May, a Buffet Meal with live music on May 6th; a Street-Party style afternoon tea, with a singalong led by the U3A Calpe choir, and including bingo, on May 7th, and a Dinner Dance with live music at the Oceana Club, on the evening of May 8th.

There will be the usual Coffee Morning on May 18th between 10.30am and 12.00 noon at the LAFMA premises, members will be entertained by a performance from the Denia Rock Choir.

In June, on 15th, the guest speaker will be Nicole Sandler, from Chase Buchanan in Jávea. This is a return visit for Nicole, following a very successful and informative talk on aspects of financial planning for ex-pats, given last year. Nicole will once again be speaking on topics helpful to the ex-pat community.

Following the retirement on health grounds of the previous Groups Coordinator, U3A Calpe is very pleased to welcome Gareth Jones to the committee. Gareth has already taken up his new role and is planning to meet with Group Leaders in the near future and to visit as many groups as possible. With over 400 members in U3A Calpe now, Gareth will be keen to encourage a wide variety of activities for members. Ideas for new groups are warmly welcomed.
