debra femalefocusonline nov23 1The red carpet was rolled out for the XIII Butterfly Charity Ball at La Marina Resort to greet our guests in aid of DEBRA, this event was organised by Mary Chambers & Sue Rogers.

The glittering annual event was attended by 164 guests enjoying a Poolside Cava reception. There was a surprise performance by The Costa Blanca Singers who were fabulous with their rendition of ¨Everybody needs Somebody¨ and many other songs which delighted our guests. This was followed by a 3 course meal in The La Marina Restaurant followed by top entertainment from Project Duo.
Tommy Rogers our host, helped raise the amazing amount of 4,628.84€ with the main raffle prize of a Galaxy Samsung Tab A7 Lite won by Rosie Jolly. Many other prizes were won such as hampers, Premier Chef air fryer, Marina Senses Spa & Wellness vouchers and many vouchers donated by various local business and individual donators.
Our auction allowed our guests to bid for vouchers including a stay at one of the three La Marina Camping & Resort sites, Sunset Beach Club, Benalmadena, and Rafaelhotels in Madrid.
Throughout the evening we held a number of fundraising activities, 75€ won from Lucky Squares by Graham Chambers who donated his prize back to the charity, 100€ won from Heads & Tails by John Morgan and 375€ won from the Golden Butterfly by Leigh Humphries table. We also received a number of individual donations though out the evening.
Roger Brierley from Mariposa Energia (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) kindly sponsored the fabulous Project Duo who created a great atmosphere. Kelly & David Goodsell from La Estacaión, La Marina kindly sponsored our table decorations for the event.
DEBRA Spain Charity would like to thank everyone who worked extremely hard behind the scenes to make this event such a success, Tommy Rogers who continues to Compere this event, all the businesses who continue to donate so generously with fabulous prizes. Cristina & Fabian and their team at La Marina Camping & Resort for all their hard work and for looking after all our guests and their very generous donations.
We could not raise this amazing amount of money without our guests who attend this event and who give so generously to our Charity.
