Lovers of traditional produce including artisanal sausages and cured meats should head to Benigembla on Sunday March 5 for the annual Feria del Embutido.

The Feria del Embutido y el Producto Tradicional de la Vall de Pop celebrates the local gastronomy in a day full of activities as well as stalls offering typical gastronomic produce.
During lunch, dozens of kilos of the best sausages and cured meats are available as well as wines and other gastronomic delights. It is also a chance to savour figatell made with various meats and spices, which is widely known as the Valencian burger. In addition, there will be live music, workshops and a charity raffle.
The Jalon Valley's history with traditional sausage-making goes back around 400 years. After the expulsion of the Moors in the early 17th century, the population was sparse until the Mallorcans moved in and brought the production of their sausages to Jalón, especially sobrasada, figatell, butifarra, blanquet and longaniza.
