The Stage Diary now in its 11th year of publication is not only an important guide to what’s on in all regions but is also an on-line web introduction to potential expat’s researching community life in Spain. The diary also acts as a planning guide to assist groups avoid unnecessary clashes of production dates.
New Cardinal Theatre Group: The group are in rehearsals for their 2018 variety show, ´It´s Show Time´. All family entertainment with singing, dancing, and comedy. Rascals: Due to unforeseen circumstances the group have cancelled their October show. Hopefully they will be able to produce a Christmas show early December. Stagestruck: The group are planning to perform the Pantomime, `Babes in the Wood´ in November/ December under the new directorship of Susanne Stokes, well known for her writing and directing skills. Dates of the performance are still yet to be decided and there is still time for any budding thespians to join the cast. Studio 32: Their last production, `Chicago´ raised 4,500€ for local charities and good causes. The company have cast their next show `The Wiz´ with rehearsals now back into full swing. The show will be staged at the Cardenal Belluga Theatre, San Fulgencio from 28 November to 1 December. Tickets are available now and early booking is recommended. Careline Theatre: The group will be performing `Dirty Dusting´ this October. A chance wrong number gives a trio of OAP cleaners facing redundancy the idea of starting a telephone sex line - and that's when the fun really begins. Jávea Players: From Shakespeare to farce and everything in between the Players take their productions seriously, but always with the emphasis on enjoyment and fun.
