On Saturday, 12th April, the Espai De La Senieta in Moraira provided the perfect setting for the inaugural Masonic Piano Recital, with guests gathering for an evening of exceptional classical music.
The event featured the internationally acclaimed Professor István Székely, alongside his talented students. Professor Székely, a distinguished figure in the music world, is a Professor at the Katerina Gurska Superior Conservatory in Madrid and the Franz Liszt Centre for Special Talents in La Nucia.
The piano recital lived up to everyone’s expectations, with timeless works by Mozart, Liszt, Debussy, and Chopin enchanting the audience. The evening concluded with a show-stopping Four-Hand Duet performed by student Anna and her teacher Carla, leaving guests captivated. Even attendees less familiar with classical music praised the performance for its beauty and artistry.
The event’s success has prompted plans to set up the recital as an annual highlight within the Valencian Masonic Charity calendar. Commenting on the evening, event organiser and Provincial Grand Charity Steward for Valencia, Peter Johnson, expressed his gratitude:
“I want to thank István and his team for giving their time free of charge tonight.
Charity stays at the heart of what Freemasons hold dearly and, not only have we all had a wonderfully entertaining evening, but we have also raised €940 for charitable causes.”
This memorable event has laid the foundation for what promises to become a cherished cultural tradition within the Valencian Masonic community.
