Knowing who to call when you hear the scream
Trust me, I know from experience as primary carer for 2 elderly parents that knowing who to call in a medical emergency gives me immense peace of mind.
It’s very upsetting when a loved one is hurt, or in distress and having just one phone number programmed into my phone and just a 4 digit number to quote means I can summon help super-fast. No need to explain who we are or where we live, they already know as the membership number brings up all our pre-programmed details and help is on its way, allowing me to go back to comforting my loved one.
I’ve had to call on the services of Amigos Europeos de Javea several times over the last few years, for heart attacks, falls, agonising stomach pains, and each and every time the service has been so professional, swift, efficient and kind.
We are so very lucky to have this service available in this area.
If you are not already a member, then please do this today, it really is worth every cent. I hope you don’t need to use it, but believe me, if you do, the relief that you have with this team behind you goes a long way to taking some of the stress away from an upsetting situation.
PLEASE DON'T LEAVE IT TOO LATE. You never know when you might need their service. Becoming a member is incredibly simple, just telephone Laure Bolufer the Registration Manager, or call in and see her at their office. And at just €60 for a whole year for the whole family, honestly, I truly believe it would be a silly thing for anyone not to have their wonderful service.
So please do yourself and your family the biggest of favours and register with the AAEdJ right now. Their fleet of ambulances covers most of the Marina Alta, including most of the inland areas. Like us you never know when you may need them, but you will be Oh So relieved if ever you do.
